Costa Rican International flights arrive at the Juan Santamaria Airport at San Jose, as well as the Libieria International Airport in NW Guanacaste Province. While scheduled and charter fights are available to/from the San Jose and Liberia airports to other key tourist destinations, most visitors to Costa Rica opt for the use of a rental vehicle. Travel time (by vehicle) from San Jose to Villa Encantada is approximately 3.5 hours. Travel time from the Liberia airport to Villa Encantada is 1.5 hours.
