Mimi (Wo' okihi o'ta yuba' win) is a new recording artist, who shares her life's philosophies through positive but realistic themed pop/rock/r&b music created by herself.
Her contemporary "all original music" reflects her strong Lakota Sioux American Indian heritage as well as her versatile life experience, i.e. living in mainstream towns and cities; studying opera (at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana on a vocal scholarship earned by herself); later performing as a professional musician in every sort of venue - from five star resorts to showcase clubs; and all types of music - from dance rock, to pop, to blues. These musical styles are reflected in Mimi's original music which appeals to all ages and types of people.
As an important part of her experience as a business woman, Mimi was selected in the top 5% out of approximately 100 multi-ethnic applicants, to participate in the Arizona Governor's "Business Breakthrough for Minorities and Women." She is the president of Oyate Views Int'l, Inc., a music and education publishing and production company. Mimi's dedication to music, her Lakota Sioux heritage, and her belief in the importance of education are intricately woven into her multi-faceted career.

Mimi As Musician
Mimi has many years of experience performing for all ages and types of audiences in showcase clubs, resorts, and concert venues as a solo artist, a featured female vocalist, and with musical groups formed around her. She has a vocal ability that is "high quality and versatile" -- as described by many types of people.
Concerts:
- An "energetic live show" which shares unique original pop/rock/r&b music containing positive motivational messages for all ages;
- Multi-media images to accompany the lyrics;
- Native American dance and/or sign language live, or on video;

Studio/Soundtrack Experience:
Studio Work - Mimi has years of experience accomplishing lead and backup vocal work for not only her own album projects, but for other interested music projects;
Jingles - Vocals and compositions. Mimi's vocals have been featured on radio commercials in the Arizona area; songs from her first album have also been aired on various radio stations. She is currently working on her 2nd album.
Soundtrack music for movie productions - Use of her original music is negotiated through synchronization license agreements.

Mimi As Dedicated Educator
Mimi initiated her own college education at the age of 16 by competing for, and acquiring a vocal scholarship to the University of Montana where she majored in music. She has a B.A. degree in Elementary Education (specializing in music and library science) & two masters degrees (Indian Education and Library Science).
Mimi is an extremely dedicated performing artist and educator specialist who uses her musical talents and educational expertise to improve self esteem and promote respect for all peoples. Her professional work experience is multi-faceted contributing to her current entrepreneurial quests. In addition to her more than 17 years experience as a professional performing artist, Mimi's accomplishments include
- 2 Master's Degrees: MLS and MED; plus a B.A. Degree
- Creating the concept for and founded a national American Indian data center at a major university
- University department head
- Media/information specialist for bilingual and bicultural federally funded projects and public schools

She performs motivational concert/school assembly programs for all ages (K-University level)sharing her positive musical messages as part of school assembly programs or university student concerts, where she stresses "belief in self" and "the importance of education" (staying in school). Performances include the dangers of drugs and alcohol, etc. Concerts feature multi-media presentations to accompany lyrics as well as American Indian dance or sign language live or on video.
